In front of a packed Palestra crowd, Penn wrestling impressed with nine wrestlers earning top six placements in their respective weight classes, six of them being freshmen. 

Penn men’s basketball fell to No. 12 Kansas State, 64-48, in the semifinals of the Paradise Jam basketball tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In the first of three Ivy League tri-meets this season, the Quakers enjoyed a bounty of top-three finishes in Ithaca, N.Y. The men split their matchups, while the women lost to both teams.

The Quakers have a very strong core of young talent, and they have potential to reach the pinnacle of the league soon. They just Priore and his staff to finally get the QB situation right to get there.

Outplayed across the board from the opening whistle, Penn took its fourth Ivy loss of the year on Saturday — the most losses in Ray Priore’s tenure as head coach — in a 42-14 drubbing at the hands of Princeton.

After making the trip down to the Virgin Islands, the team won’t be leaving just yet. Which is fortunate for the Quakers, given all they went through to get there.

We are so lucky that these treasures all belong to Penn. The Palestra court, Franklin Field turf, and Penn Relays name should never be shared with any corporate entity. Otherwise, we’ll be like everyone else. 

Penn men’s and women’s swimming will travel to Cornell this weekend to compete in each team’s first tri-meet of the season. The men will look to continue their hot start while the women hope to earn their first conference win of the year.

The sophomore defender for Penn men’s soccer was named first-team All-Ivy on Wednesday, marking the culmination of an extremely successful year on the field.

After winning its first two competitions handily, Penn men’s squash will take on its highest ranked opponent of the season to this point, when it plays No. 9 George Washington this Saturday in addition to No. 13 Virginia. Penn women’s squash, also undefeated, will meet Stanford at home on Friday. 

This Saturday, Penn men’s and women’s fencing will head to Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio for its second tournament of the season: the Elite Invitational. The Quakers will face Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, North Carolina, and Northwestern (women only).

Coming off a strong showing two weeks ago at the Michigan State Open, the Quakers will look to continue their momentum this Sunday at the 23rd Annual Keystone Classic at the Palestra. 

This weekend, Penn men’s basketball will travel way down south to the US Virgin Islands to play in the Paradise Jam, an eight-team tournament featuring Northern Iowa, Eastern Kentucky, Kennesaw State, Missouri, Old Dominion, Oregon State and No. 12 Kansas State.

A wrestling match begins with the two opponents in neutral position. Both wrestlers are standing on their feet, and no one has control.

Just over a year after graduating from North Carolina State, Pete Renda returned to his home state of Pennsylvania as an assistant coach for Penn wrestling with one goal in mind: winning championships.

Every dual meet starting spot is truly up for grabs besides the 285-pound weight class, which only features one wrestler. 

Penn wrestling coach Roger Reina has done it again, drawing attention from all across the nation by bringing in one of the strongest recruiting classes the program has seen in years.
