Starting July 1, the cash fare for transit services — including the subway, trolleys and buses — will increase from $2 to $2.25, and the cost of a token will increase from $1.55 to $1.80.

Last month, Pakistan held national elections for a new National Assembly and prime minister. These elections saw victories and defeat for six Penn alumni vying for office overseas.

Although dozens of pre-meds return to campus or go to other institutions to work as research assistants during the summer months, medical schools do not require summer research and many Penn students seek alternative summer employment — like working in a summer camp.


	2000 College graduate Jeremy Shure was running on Sunday in the ODDyssey half marathon in honor of his friend, 2001 College graduate Ari Johnson, who committed suicide earlier this year.

On Sunday, Penn alumni ran in the ODDyssey half marathon in honor of their friend, 2001 College graduate Ari Johnson, who committed suicide in February of this year. Team Ari raised over $65,000 for Active Minds, a mental health organization located on college campuses across the country.







	Creating Canopy — a program sponsored by Penn — donated 100 trees to employees of Penn and University of Pennsylvania Health System.

The Creating Canopy initiative, sponsored this year by Penn and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, donated 100 trees to Penn and University of Pennsylvania Health System staff and faculty who live in Philadelphia.
