Sports Editor Ian Wenik: I came out of Monday's media frenzy impressed with the direction that Penn's defense is going in. I talked to a lot of Penn's starting defensive backs (Dan Wilk, Mike Laning, Kevin Ijoma), who are dealing with a bit of transition with Dave Wood taking over the primary defensive backs coaching job and coordinator Ray Priore focusing in on the cornerbacks.

We're excited to announce our first ever Athlete of the Week, junior Penn men's lacrosse goalie Brian Feeney, whose career-high single-game save percentage (.833) helped the Quakers trump Brown for the first time in three seasons. Feeney's stats this spring speak for themselves, and now, so does he:

The women's basketball team wasn't the only Penn team to find success this weekend, as the wrestling, tennis, gymnastics, swimming and track and field teams also were in action. For a look back at the wrestling team's win against Columbia, the tennis teams victories over Stony Brook, and the gymnastics team's outstanding performance, among other matchups from the past weekend, here is this week's edition of Weekend Wrap.

In one of the many absurd emails I've received as a graduating senior, this latest e-offense tops all others. It seems that the administration has mistaken the class of 2010 for the class of 2012.

Scrolling through SPIKE today, our eyes caught sight of the silly poll that just sort of hangs out on the Wharton hub.

This just sent out over the infamous COMM listserv:
Penn’s Office of the Vice Provost for University Life is looking for Penn students who would like to model for our upcoming spring photo/video shoot. Students will appear in a variety of campus settings representing University Life at Penn. Images/footage from the shoot will be included in future University Life and Penn online and multimedia publications.
So if you're free on April 21st, you too can star in the wonderfully cheesy promotional images sent out to prospective students and plastered over admissions materials if you email rhamell@upenn.edu. One question though: why just COMM majors?

In a recent post on the Wall Street Journal's "Hire Education" blog, Penn's very own Aliza Hoffman muses on heartstrings and handshakes as she navigates the senior year job search.

Everyone loves rankings, especially when Penn captures a coveted top spot. And since many of us are currently buried away in the depths of Van Pelt, it comes as little surprise that Penn took home this year's #4 spot on the Daily Beast's ranking of the 50 Most Stressful Colleges.

Fishnets, booty shorts and feathered boas... what's not to love? If you were one of the 800+ screaming sorority girls or leery eyed frat guys at Pi Kappa Phi's "War of the Roses", you know just how many perfectly choreographed pelvic thrusts went down at the Troc on Tuesday night.

Looks like the famous "Take Ivy" work of fashion photography by Teruyoshi Hayashida (seriously, this baby Ebays for up to $1,500) is up for a much needed, much cheaper second edition.

In anticipation of the rumored mass riots and teenage mob squads, the big names in Philly news are all in town today, including CBS3, two intrepid Daily Pennsylvanian reporters and one news truck with what looks to be a giant mob-detecting radar tower.
