There’s legendary – and then, there’s senior midfielder Anna Brandt.

As a player for Penn women’s lacrosse, Brandt has made her mark throughout her four years, but this season is undoubtedly one to remember. This season, she racked up award after award, including being a semifinalist for the Tewaaraton Award, the most-acclaimed award in collegiate women’s lacrosse. She was also once again named the Ivy League Midfielder of the Year and a first-team All-American honor.

As captain, Brandt was a major factor in the Quakers’ 12-6 record in the 2025 season thus far. She was a force to be reckoned with the ball in her stick, leading the team in free position goals, goals, and points. But she was also a complete midfielder and led the team in caused turnovers and ground balls on the defensive end.

Brandt came into the season with high expectations. She entered the season only needing 11 goals to break the all-time program record, and she has since shattered that record. She broke the record in the third game of the season against Temple and, as of the end of the Ivy League tournament, had 195 goals. The second-place goal scorer had 149. Brandt also broke the program record for draw controls, having 174.

On top of her program record, she also broke her own personal record for most goals in an individual game against Cornell with nine goals. That mark has also tied for the program record for most goals in an individual game.

Regardless of the outcome of the NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse tournament, Brandt has undeniably had one of the greatest seasons in program history.
