Job experience: Toomey worked in the financial sector for 15 years before forming a restaurant business in Allentown, Pa. In 1994, Toomey was elected to Allentown’s Government Study Commission. In 1999, he went on to serve in the House of Representatives for Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District.
