Candidate for U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania

Title: Representative from Pennsylvania’s Seventh District Party: Democratic Party

Education: Sestak graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1974. He received a Ph.D. in political economy and government from Harvard University.

Job experience: After graduating Sestek spent 31 years serving in the U.S. Navy. After his tours he worked in the White House under former President Bill Clinton. There he served as the Director for Defense Policy on the National Security Council. Sestak has been in Congress since 2007.

Endorsements: Sestak has been endorsed by the National Organization for Women and U.S. Rep. Barney Frank. He has also been endorsed by The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
