College sophomore Alex Amaniel accepted the invitation to serve as an Undergraduate Assembly College representative Thursday morning. He replaced College sophomore Michael Levenstein, who resigned late Monday.
Amaniel originally accepted the seat when first offered, but asked on Tuesday for more time to decide and consider his other commitments.
Amaniel received the next highest number of votes after Levenstein for College representative in the race last spring.
“I know that we will welcome Alex back enthusiastically,” UA Speaker G.J. Melendez-Torres, a Wharton and Nursing senior, wrote in an e-mail.
