Robbery

Feb. 13 — Taima Dejesus, 33, unaffiliated with the University and of the 3500 block of Ella Street, was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. for allegedly attempting to forcibly remove a purse from a female unaffiliated with the University while traveling on a SEPTA bus on the 3900 block of Spruce Street.

Theft

Feb. 18 — At 11:30 a.m., a landline phone was reported to have been taken by an unknown suspect from the Facilities Department, located at 3101 Walnut.

Feb. 18 — A female unaffiliated with the University, 17, reported at 5 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed her unattended phone from Qdoba Mexican Grill, located at 230 S. 40th St.

Feb. 15 — A male student, 18, reported at about 1:30 a.m. that someone removed his unattended backpack from Huntsman Hall.

Feb. 13 — A female student, 25, reported at about 2:15 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed her laptop, secured with a cable lock, from the 200 block of S. 34th Street.

Feb. 13 — Shawn Kithcart, 37, unaffiliated with the University and of the 2500 block of 71st Street, was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. for allegedly attempting to remove merchandise from CVS at 3920 Walnut St. without rendering payment.

Fraud

Feb. 16 — Claude Corbitt, 55, unaffiliated with the University and of Highland Avenue, East Stroudsburg, was arrested at about 4:45 p.m. for allegedly attempting to fraudulently open a bank account at TD Bank, located at 3735 Walnut St.

Feb. 16 — A female student, 23, reported at 6:45 p.m. that someone convinced her to provide him with personal items under fraudulent pretenses at the 4000 block of Market Street.
