He may only have 42 days left as President of the United States, but George W. Bush still knows how to arrive in style.
President George W. Bush made a trip to Philadelphia on Saturday for the unveiling of his portrait at the Union League and for the Army-Navy football game.
He flew into Philadelphia International Airport in the morning, greeting guests and Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell.
Bush's first stop in the city was the Union League, where he attended the unveiling of his portrait and received the club's Gold Medal.
"Welcome to my hanging," he joked to the 700 people in attendance.
Bush is the 23rd President to be included in the club's presidential portrait collection. He is one of only 37 recipients - including his father, former President George H.W. Bush - of the Gold Medal since 1863.
After the ceremony, Bush headed to Lincoln Financial Field for the 109th Army-Navy football game.
He participated in the ceremonial coin toss with Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
Before the game, Bush gave the same pep talk to each of the teams, and during the game he split his time in the stands between the Army side and the Navy side.
