Despite the problems that surrounded the sell-out of tickets to the Spring Fling concert, SPEC deserves praise for negotiating with the performers to make sure that at least 200 more tickets will be available.
Furthermore, by releasing them through a lottery system, SPEC will prevent students from buying tickets for the purpose of resale.
A move to another, larger venue would have been ideal - Hill Field, for instance - but in light of logistical problems, securing more tickets is the next best thing.
For more information or to enter the lottery, visit SPEC's Web site at http://specevents.net.
