How Many Murderers In Your Party?
Sunday, June 18
6 pm
The Happy Rooster
Call 215-963-9311 to order
Do you know if it was Colonel Mustard, in the ballroom, with the candlestick? Has watching all three CSI television shows made you think you're ready for the field? Well, it doesn't matter; nobody plays Clue anymore, and I doubt you'll have time to match DNA over a meal. But don't put away your detective cap just yet; you can enjoy some murder mystery dinner theater at one of Philadelphia's best-known bars. You've got more to look forward to than enjoying great food and drinks while trying to deduct who the perpetrator is; guess correctly and you can win prizes.

The Stills
Thursday, June 15th
7 pm
The Trocadero
$20
215-922-LIVE
I don't know much about indie pop rock, so I asked my roommate who seems to listen to music that makes him sad. Apparently the Stills are awesome. Their first full album, Logic Will Break Your Heart, was a big hit, and they have just released their sophomore effort- entitled Without Feathers- in May. The four long-time friends from Montreal have a post-punk vibe that sounds influenced by bands such as Interpol (whom they have toured with) and Echo and the Bunnymen. If you come see the Stills at The Troc you will also be treated to the tunes of Yo La Tengo, Band of Horses, and- Philadelphia's own- Matt Pond PA.

MilkBattle '06
Friday, June 16
MilkBoy Coffee
$10
610MILKBOY
Disclaimer: After reading the heading for this event, your mind may be preoccupied with the image of you and your friends coming home late on a Friday night covered in dairy and satisfied grins. That will not be the case, mostly likely.
MilkBattle has nothing to do with throwing skim at people or even downing a glass of 2%. This is just a good old-fashioned battle of the bands. MilkBattle is the result of an internship project of five area high school seniors. Four student bands will go at it to win free studio time, and there's a raffle for the audience. Portions of the proceeds from admission and raffle sales go to four local charities.

Give and Take Jugglers
Saturday, June 17 through Sunday, August 27
Please Touch Museum
$9.95 admission
215-963-0667
We'll get to the Give and Take Jugglers later, but first let's talk about the Please Touch Museum. Who came up with that name? After watching countless episodes of Dateline's To Catch a Predator and Law & Order: SVU, I'd be remiss to send my kids to strangers asking them to touch stuff. Nevertheless, these jugglers seem like cool guys. Nick and Dave have been performing at schools, corporate events, and more since 1982, so their acts are fun for people of all ages. The performance is profuse with audience interaction so come ready to participate. And remember: keep your eyes on those "please touch" museum guys when they're around the kids.

Comedy Jam Show
Saturday, June 17
8 pm and 10:30 pm
The Trocadero
$35-$45
215-922-LIVE
Get ready to laugh! Wait, don't get ready now; this won't be funny. Get ready to laugh when you go to this comedy show. Charles Walden (BET Comic View) and B-Phlat (BET Comic View, VH-1) will set you up to fall over laughing when Adele Givens takes the stage. Givens was part of the Queens of Comedy tour and an HBO special. She's been in various television shows and movies, but her raunchy, hilarious stand-up has always been the driving force of her career. She's like Mo'Nique, if Mo'Nique were funnier and, well, less fat.
