Appropriate Conduct
To the editor:
Please be advised that I had the honor or representing Zachary Kerner. That being said, let me set the record straight, for there has been some confusion in reference to the events of November 3, 2005 ("Students cleared of most charges," DP, 11/10/05).
It was an unfortunate incident for my client, the University and the police. Yet, in retrospect, the police did act appropriately in this matter. Upon final review, the matter is over. Mr. Kerner has graduated and will be attending law school in the Fall. He now has a greater appreciation of law enforcement and the pressure upon the police with their very difficult tasks. Hopefully, all involved can now move on with this chapter closed behind them.
