The Penn women's basketball team was knocked out of first place in the Ivy League with two close losses at the Palestra this weekend. On Friday night, Harvard beat the Red and Blue 54-51, and Saturday night it was the Big Green of Dartmouth who stayed undefeated in the Ancient Eight by squeaking out a 73-71 victory. Elise Morrision of Dartmouth (9-8, 5-0) hit a layup with 8.3 seconds left to win the game for Dartmouth. The loss drops Penn to 10-8, and 3-2 in Ivy play.
