On the strength of their weekend sweeps, both the Penn men's and women's basketball teams are in first place in the new edition of The Daily Pennsylvanian Ivy League Rankings.
The men swapped spots with Princeton, who lost at home to Brown on Friday night. The Tigers still have a very slight edge on the Quakers in the computer rankings, but all 20 first place votes of the DP writers' poll put the Red and Blue in the top spot.
Yale fell the furthest in the Rankings, dropping from third to sixth after being swept by Penn and Princeton.
Brown moved into the third spot after their big win atJadwin Gym.
Harvard made the biggest improvement of the week, helped in part by a strong computer rating, to move them just behind Columbia at No. 5. The Lions held on to beat the Crimson on Sunday, 57-55.
On the women's side, Penn held on to the top spot with its double-overtime win over Princeton last night.
Dartmouth picked up two additional first-place votes and inched closer to catching the Quakers. The two will meet at the Palestra on Saturday night.
Brown snuck past Harvard for No. 3, and Princeton, with a split over the weekend and the close loss to Penn last night, leapfrogged over Columbia to take the fifth spot.
