Former Penn football player and second-team all-Ivy selection Stephen Faulk was waived from the San Francisco 49ers yesterday.
Faulk received the College Football Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete award and earned Academic all-Ivy honor as a junior. He led Penn with 128 carries, 502 yeards, and 10 touchdowns in his senior campaign.
After three years in the secondary at Penn, Faulk played as a cornerback for the 49ers.
