The Penn men's basketball team can't be too upset about its losses so far this season. There have only been two and both have come at the mercy of top 25 teams. Penn's second loss in seven games came this weekend against Big 5 rival St. Joseph's, ranked No. 18 in the AP Poll and No. 24 according to ESPN/USA today heading into the matchup. Although the Quakers stayed within striking distance, they were never able to close the gap against a determined and talented St. Joseph's squad, ultimately losing 67-61. If the Red and Blue plan to keep garnering national attention, their going to have to beat the teams that count. In its first game without the help of junior Andrew Toole - now out for four to five weeks with an injured right foot - the squad crumbled. In his place, a menagerie of normally bench players stepped up. But none of them seemed to fill his shoes. Penn coach Fran Dunphy surprised Red and Blue fans by starting senior Dan Solomito for Toole, instead of the obvious David Klatsky.
