Starbucks' relocation to the corner of 34th and Walnut streets has been pushed back to the end of December due to construction and design delays. Located on 34th Street between Walnut and Sansom streets for the past three years, the coffee shop was expected to move a few weeks ago. The relocation will give Starbucks considerably more space, allowing for six outdoor tables and two levels of indoor seating. With two outside entrances facing Walnut and 34th streets, the new coffee shop will also open up into the lobby of the neighboring office building. Starbucks is one of four coffee shops on campus. The others are Xando at 36th and Walnut streets, Bucks County Coffee at 34th and Sansom streets and Comet at 41st and Walnut streets. With the reopening of another Bucks in the Dental Building this spring -- displaced in 1998 by plans for Sundance Cinemas -- no less than five coffee shops will be serving up cappuccinos and espressos at Penn. -- Victoria Sun
