Tight end Scott Moore, who caught eight passes for 126 yards in the Penn sprint football team's Friday night victory over Navy, was honored yesterday as the Collegiate Sprint Football League's Offensive Player of the Week. Moore hauled in a 20-yard touchdown pass from John Kernan in the third quarter, which put the Quakers up 14-6 at the time. The Red and Blue fell behind after that, but rallied for a thrilling victory in their official CSFL opener that moved them to 3-0 on the season. Members of the undefeated Quakers have been named CSFL player of the week in all three weeks of this season. Senior linebacker John Clarke was the top defensive player and sophomore running back Mark Gannon was the league's offensive leader for the season's first week; senior linebacker Mike Viney was last week's honoree on defense. The Quakers resume action this Friday night at Cornell. They return home for a showdown with CSFL powerhouse Army next Friday. -- Jesse Spector
