McCain's speech -- the topic of which was still unknown last night -- will kick off the We the Future 2000 national convention, a weekend of speeches and workshops designed to motivate young people in the 18-to-35 age range to vote. The event will be held in the ballroom of the Penn Tower Hotel, which seats approximately 500 people. McCain's speech is open to anybody in the 18-to-35 age range with valid identification. The We the Future 2000 convention -- sponsored by the Foundation for Individual Responsibility and Social Trust -- will last from Friday through Sunday. Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and University President Judith Rodin are also scheduled to speak. The Daily Pennsylvanian had reported yesterday that McCain's speech would be at a downtown hotel.
