Internet server problem cuts dorms' Web access According to Engineering junior Andy Schaps, an information technology advisor in Hill College House, computing officials initially believed the problem was a virus but it turned out to be a server error. On Monday, students in Hill and the high rises were able to use their computers by unplugging them from the ResNet box and thus disconnecting them from the main Penn network, meaning that they were unable to access the Internet. Schaps said the problem seemed to be solved by 1 p.m. yesterday and students whose computers were malfunctioning on Monday did not report any problems last night. -- Sharon Male
