Penn named David Bryan the new Director of Athletic Facilities and Operations last week. Bryan's hiring was met with optimism by Penn officials. "We are very pleased that David will be joining us. His leadership and supervisory skills will definitely strengthen our department," Director of Athletics Steve Bilsky said in a press release. Bryan has a wide range of experience in the field of event management. An account executive at Chesapeake Advertising for the last two years, Bryan was responsible for launching several successful advertising and marketing campaigns. In his two years as an account executive, Bryan was also responsible for implementing a multimillion dollar media plan. Bryan previously worked for the Atlantic City Sea Gulls of the United States Basketball League. There he served as the Director of Marketing and Sales. Among his responsiblities was the sale of sponsorships. In addition, Bryan took part in presentations to corporate sponsors and civic groups. Bryan was also previously employed by Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. As Special Projects Manager, he was responsible for the coordination of all entertainment events sponsored by Trump Plaza. Bryan's other responsibilities at Trump Plaza included budgeting, staff supervision and overseeing the fulfillment of all contractual obligations. Bryan will begin his work at Penn at the end of the month.
