"During his time here at WXPN, Mark became one of the most influential managers in public broadcasting," Curren said. "It's very difficult to replace someone like that." The office of the vice provost for University Life and the board of WXPN will be appointing a search committee to look for a new general manager, according to Terry Conn, assistant to the VPUL. "We'd like to look for a candidate with both experience in radio broadcasting and management as well as someone who is comfortable with a campus radio environment," Conn said. She added that they hope to select a new general manager for the station within six months. -- Ben Hammer
