2013 women’s soccer senior captain and 2012 first-team All-Ivy selection Kerry Scalora gives us the inside scoop on her iPod preferences, post-graduation plans and more.

Favorite soccer player?

Alex Morgan! Everyone who knows me gets so annoyed with how much I say I am obsessed with her. We both play up top as a forward and are left-footed, so I admire and try to replicate how she plays the game. Her quick burst of speed while playing coupled with an excellent first touch, make her an impressive rookie to the women’s professional game.

Favorite pregame ritual?

Dancing. Prior to game time, the whole team gets together and dances in the locker room. It’s when you can let yourself get loose a little bit and not let the pressures of the competition ahead get to you. When everyone on the team gets into it and starts showing off their moves, that’s when it is the best!

Worst preseason workout or drill?

Beep test…… no further comments are needed.

Best place to eat on campus?

Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House. They have the best bread and butter ever.

Do you have a secret talent?

I can bake! Really well, I swear. My chocolate chip cookies are delicious.

Artist you listen to most on your iPod?

Drake.

Artist you would never put on your iPod?

Mariah Carey.

Least favorite celebrity?

Teresa Giudice. I’m a huge Real Housewives fan and she is incredibly annoying. Plus, she’s in some legal issues so that’s never a good thing either.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

I want to be involved in the sports industry, specifically sports broadcasting. Hello ESPN!
