The center aims to link interdisciplinary scholarship to understand the connections between communication and climate action, focusing on both local environmental issues within Philadelphia and global phenomena. 

Ng gave the lecture to around 50 Penn students and faculty gathered in the Penn Museum’s Widener Hall on March 27.

The evening began with a rally featuring remarks from students and administrators and continued with a march across campus, a candlelight vigil, and stories from survivors of sexual abuse.

Every year, the Thouron Award covers tuition and fees for up to two years as part of a graduate exchange program between Penn and U.K. universities. 

The discussion, hosted by center director and sociology professor Hyunjoon Park, centered on Han's experience embracing her identity as a Korean-American and her fight against Asian hate through the lens of broadcast journalism. 

The speakers discussed personal anecdotes, gentrification, decolonization, and abolition in front of an audience of around 15 students and faculty members. 

AMP provides mentorship and programming that aim to uplift physicians from historically underrepresented populations in the field of medicine. 

Penn Political Union president and College sophomore Mia Antonacci moderated the event, focusing on the question of whether it is “appropriate to prohibit individuals from speaking at a university based on the falsehood of their statements.”
