Here are some takeaways from Friday night’s matchup as the Quakers look on toward an Ivy League slate that figures to be much more demanding.

Led by senior guard Ashley Russell, who had a dominant game on both ends of the floor, the Quakers dismantled Brown in their first conference home game of the season.

To start the game, the Quakers took a 2-0 lead off of junior guard Devon Goodman’s fastbreak layup and never looked back, leading for the rest of the game and ultimately taking down the Bears, 92-82.

This weekend at the Palestra, Penn gymnastics took on Cornell, Brown, and Ursinus in the team's home opener. The Quakers were hoping to top their performance from last weekend, when they scored 190.000 and finished second.
