It was coach Bill Wagner’s last game at Franklin Field, and Penn sprint football was sure to give him a proper send off in a dominating win.

The Red and Blue knew the odds were stacked against them; they hadn't beaten a ranked team since 2010. But from the opening whistle, Penn played with poise and confidence. 

Despite going into the fourth quarter holding a slim lead, the Quakers succumbed to a late comeback and could not recover in New Haven, Conn.

Jack Hennigan had never heard of sprint football before his first visit to Franklin Field. Four years later, the senior linebacker is the behind-the-scenes leader of Penn sprint football. 

Penn teams will have had their fill of competition from Yale after this weekend, as field hockey and both soccer teams will face off against the Bulldogs. 

Coming off of a blowout loss to Columbia last week, Penn football has the daunting task of facing off against Yale this Saturday in New Haven, Conn.

In simple terms, a successful fourth down or two-pointer can be the turning point or deciding factor in a tight game. However, the decision to go for it is by no means an easy one.

Once again, Penn is projected to share the top spot with a familiar foe. This year’s Ivy League preseason poll has placed both the Quakers and the Tigers in first place. 

Scoreless in regulation, it took the Quakers six minutes of overtime to find the back of the net before they knocked off the Dragons, 1-0.

The 2019-2020 Ivy League men’s basketball preseason media poll was released today, ranking the Quakers second.

Ever-present in the middle of the field for Penn, the sophomore midfielder has impressed this season by dictating play in the attacking third.

This weekend, Penn cross country traveled to State College, Pa. for the Penn State National Open and to New Jersey for the Princeton Invitational.

Penn men’s soccer fell to Dartmouth, 1-0, on a chilly Saturday evening in Philadelphia, marking the team's first Ivy League loss of the season and second consecutive defeat. 

Penn sprint football lost a hard-fought, closely contested game to Navy by a score of 16-7 in Annapolis, Md. on Friday night. 

In the women’s game, the Red team defeated the Blue team by a score of 70-51, and later in the men’s game, the Blue defeated the Red, 84-71.

The Red and Blue's only points in the lopsided result came off a 50-yard fumble recovery late in the fourth quarter. 

Penn women's and men's basketball will show off their new-look teams for the 2019-20 season for the first time at the Red and Blue Scrimmages on Saturday.
