Penn had five double-digit scorers: Jordan Dingle, Max Martz (who was 3-for-3 from deep and led with 13 points), Clark Slajchert, George Smith, and Jelani Williams.

After the postponement of their last two Ivy League games, Penn women’s basketball welcomed back the return to basketball with a 55-31 win against Dartmouth.

Due to COVID-19 concerns in the Quakers' program, Penn women's basketball's two-game weekend slate was canceled. 

“Lia Thomas has met or exceeded all NCAA protocols over the past two years for a transgender female student-athlete to compete for a women’s team. She will continue to represent the Penn women’s swimming team in competition this season," Penn Athletics wrote on Thursday.

Penn’s men’s basketball successfully snapped its six-game losing streak in its first Ivy League matchup against the Brown Bears, winning 77-73. 

In its first Ivy League matchup of the season, Penn women's basketball overwhelmed Brown after finding a reliable rhythm of attack from the second quarter.

The Grizzlies, still the second youngest team in the NBA, are 23-14 and firmly in fourth place in the Western Conference. Despite this, the Grizzlies are still being overlooked as a legitimate contender to win the conference title.

In an unexpected inter-division matchup, Penn (5-7, 0-0) came out strong against Ursinus (2-7) for a much needed 89-29 win as the Quakers prepare for Ivy League play in the new year.

Winter sports competition will continue behind closed doors as Penn responds to rising COVID-19 cases in Philadelphia as well as across collegiate sports.

Just a day before it was scheduled to compete against James Madison University, Penn men’s basketball’s game was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within JMU.
