Approximately 60 students, staff, administration, and faculty attended the vigil, according to PASS.

This year's results mark a record low since the survey began in 2005, when APPC recorded that 75% of American voters trusted the Supreme Court. 

Institutions in Ghana, Spain, India, Kazakhstan, Colombia, and Qatar will contribute to the consortium in addition to Penn. 

At Friday's event, Scanlon reiterated the importance of young voters and students in this upcoming election in an interview with The Daily Pennsylvanian.

The talk, which is part of Penn's Africana Lecture Series, marks 60 years since the work of the civil rights movement in 1964.

Representatives and administrators of the Lauder Institute will “abstain from opining on societal and political events,” unless there is an exceptional case which poses a danger to the “very mission of the Institute and its values of free inquiry," according to the statement. 

According to police, the incident occurred at 4:22 a.m. on Saturday after a man driving a silver Jeep Cherokee dropped off a shooting victim in the ambulance bay at Penn Presbyterian.
