In this week's edition of Is Stat So?, Penn women's lacrosse got a stellar offensive effort, women's track breaks records, while baseball and softball defenses feature. Click here for previous editions. 


School records set by Penn women's track and field sophomore Maura Kimmel in the team's outdoor opener. Kimmel beat the all-time marks in both discus and shot put.




Errors made by Penn baseball in the team's Ivy League opener at Brown. The fielding miscues erased a stellar pitching effort by Mitchell Holcomb in a 7-6 loss that required an extra frame.




Average score, out of 10, that Penn gymnastics' Kyra Levi earned on her three events at the ECAC Championships. Levi was named ECAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second straight season.





Second half goals scored by Penn women's lacrosse in its 16-10 win over Brown on Saturday. Sophomore Gabby Rosenzweig's nine points helped to erase an early five-goal deficit.




Runs allowed by Penn softball pitcher Mason Spichiger in a complete game shutout against Dartmouth on Saturday. It was Spichiger's second career shutout.
