Penn sprint football finished its season in a win, but not in the way the Quakers expected.

The Red and Blue were scheduled to face Princeton on Halloween, but the Tigers forfeited the game since they did not have enough players available due to injuries.

With the win, Penn finishes the season with a 4-3 record, the program’s first winning record since 2011.

The forfeit means that Penn senior running back Mike Beamish will finish 33 rushing yards shy of Mike Bagnoli for second all-time in program history. Beamish finishes with 2,494 career rushing yards.

The game was Princeton’s second forfeit of the year and extends the Tigers’ current losing streak to 93 games. The Tigers’ last win in sprint football came in 2005 against VMI, which was a club team at the time. After the loss to Penn, Princeton is now 0-6 under first year coach Sean Morey, who played varsity football at Brown and won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers in his nine-year NFL career.

Princeton’s last CSFL victory came in 1998 and its last win against Penn came in 1995.
