Despite a season-ending loss to Harvard, the Quakers received an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament and will take on Bucknell at Rhodes Field tonight at 7 p.m.
The Bison (10-8-2) topped the Patriot League this season, though they lost to both American and Lafayette — two teams Penn beat in overtime finishes this year.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be hosting a free tailgate before the game and is encouraging fans to come out and support Penn in a rare NCAA tournament home game. The tailgate will be located in the parking lot near the Hollenback Center off of the newly finished South Street Bridge. Because the game is an NCAA tournament event, admission will be five dollars for students with a PennCard.
If the Quakers come away with the win, they’ll head to College Park, Md., Sunday to take on the second seeded Maryland, which finished the season ranked No. 3 in the nation.
