A campus memorial service will be held for College sophomore Alex Ryles on Friday, Jan. 29.
The service will take place in the Terrace Room of Claudia Cohen Hall at 5 p.m.
According to University spokeswoman Lori Doyle, friends found Ryles, 19, dead on the morning of Nov. 22, in his off-campus apartment on the 4000 block of Pine Street.
He was 19 years old when he died and would have turned 20 on Nov. 28, according to his Facebook profile.
An Urban Studies major, Ryles attended The Menlo School in his hometown of Atherton, Calif. He also contributed to 34th Street Magazine.
Associate Chaplain Stephen Kocher later said that Ryles “did take his own life.”
