Feisty terriers nibble away at Crimson
BOSTON (AP) - Corey Lowe had 23 points to help Boston University snap a six-game losing streak with a 79-72 victory over Harvard last night. The Terriers have won 14 of the last 15 games in the series, with BU coach Dennis Wolff 13-1 against the Crimson. Andrew Pusar had 18 points for the Crimson.
Beastly Baumann leads Columbia to win
NEW YORK (AP) - John Baumann scored 29 points and Columbia snapped Wagner's four-game winning streak, 79-65 last night. Mack Montgomery had 13 points for the Lions (3-5). Justin Armstrong and K.J. Matsui added 12 apiece. Mark Porter had 25 points for the Seahawks (5-3).
Flato's free throws finish off Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Eric Flato hit all four of his free throws in the final 1:06 of overtime to lift Yale University to a 70-66 victory over Fairfield last night. Ross Morin led Yale (2-5) with 16 points as the Bulldogs snapped a five-game losing streak. Flato and Caleb Holmes each had 11.
