W. Soccer: Penn flawless in Ivies after beating Green

The game didn't start off right for the women's soccer team. But in the end the Quakers took down a struggling Dartmouth squad to keep their Ancient Eight record perfect at 3-0.

The Big Green (3-8-1, 1-2-0 Ivy) jumped out to an early lead after a Ali Hubbard shot found its way past Penn keeper Sara Rose just three minutes into the contest.

But the Quakers (9-2-1, 3-0-0) would recover after Jessica Fuccello headed in the equalizer off a feed from Jess Rothenberger 34 minutes later.

From there, Penn was in control of the game and Rothenberger netted the game-winner midway through the second half.

The defense shut down Dartmouth and it would only get off two more shots on goal for the rest of the game.

On the other end of the field, the Quakers registered 14 shots, an effort of five different players.

Fuccello contributed a game-high five shots to the tally. The sophomore's eighth goal on the season pushed her to the top of the Ivy League scoring category.

Win the victory, Penn starts its Ivy slate undefeated for just the second time in program history.
