Burglary
July 16 - At about 8:20 a.m., a 42-year-old man unaffiliated with the University reported to Philadelphia Police that someone entered a house on the 4200 block of Walnut Street while it was under renovation. No force was used, and power tools were removed.
July 17 - A 23-year-old male graduate student reported that sometime between July 14 and July 17, his apartment was burgled in Sansom Place East, while he was away on vacation. He returned to find his door open and found a television and several kitchen items missing.
Narcotic
July 21 - Mary Carnevale and Arguelie Garcia were arrested on the 3700 block of Spruce Street for allegedly possessing narcotics without a prescription at about 10 a.m. Carnevale, 51, of Upper Darby, and Argueli Garcia, 47, of the 3800 block of North Marshall Street, are unaffiliated with Penn.
Robbery
July 19 - At about 11:20 a.m., a 23-year-old female graduate student reported that two men approached her and tried, but failed, to take her cell phone as she was talking on it. Jeffrey Moorer, 28, of the 7100 block of Edmund Street, and Jamie Moore, 24, of the 500 block of South 41st Street, were later arrested in connection with the incident. No weapon was used, and the victim was not injured.
Theft
July 17 - A 46-year-old female employee reported that she returned to her vehicle parked in a garage on South Street and Convention Avenue at about 5:40 p.m. and discovered that a car window was broken and her GPS system was removed.
July 17 - Store employees allegedly observed two girls attempting to leave Douglas Perfumery on the 3600 block of Walnut Street without rendering payment for costume jewelry at about 6:40 p.m. The juveniles were 13 and 14 years old.
July 18 - A suspect was reported to have left Natural Shoe on 40th and Locust streets without rendering payment at about 4:45 p.m.
July 21 - A 23-year-old man unaffiliated with Penn reported that his bike, secured with a chain lock, was taken from the 400 block of South 42nd Street at about 12:45 p.m.
July 21 - About $140 were taken from Douglas Perfumery at about 3:45 p.m. by an unknown man without rendering payment. The items were value at around $140.
