Overwhelmed by finals and in the need of some comic relief?
If so, tomorrow's stand up comedy show "Spring Bring" - put on by Penn group Simply Chaos - might just be the ticket.
The five-year-old student organization will be putting on two shows at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Bodek Lounge of Houston Hall.
Simply Chaos president and College senior Jason Schneider said the group will be presenting "all the material we've written over the semester."
Schneider added that, with the variety of material, there should be something for everyone to enjoy.
College sophomore Alex Livingston, who will be performing tomorrow, said his own act would be devoted to "observational humor," in which he discusses "everyday occurrences" at Penn.
Schneider recommended Spring Bring as a "nice study break" for students.
Livingston agreed.
"It's nice to have some kind of escape," he said.
Members of Simply Chaos perform on Penn's campus about once a week and almost three times a week off campus.
"A lot of us are very professional," Schneider said. "We've worked in clubs all over Philadelphia and in New York City."
Schneider said that the group has been handing out flyers on Locust Walk this week with small bags of fake marijuana attached.
"That got people's attention," he said.
About 150 people are expected to be allowed into each show.
College junior Dylan McGarry said he would consider going to the show "if it was funny."
"One of the best ways to relieve stress is to laugh," McGarry said.
Schneider said that while tickets are still available, both shows are expected to sell out.
Tickets are being sold on Locust Walk for $6 and at the door for $8.
