--Women's Water Polo. The squad hosted a five-team tournament at Sheerr Pool last Saturday and Sunday. They dominated all of their opponents, finishing the weekend with a perfect 4-0 record.
After easily defeating Penn State and West Chester, Penn had tougher match-ups against Washington and Jefferson - a varsity squad - and the Greenwich Club team.
Penn topped Washington and Jefferson, 8-3, and won against Greenwich, by a narrower margin of 9-8.
Down by one with two minutes to play against Greenwich, Penn netted two quick goals to take the lead and the game. Sophomore Molly Riddle scored the game-winner.
Penn totaled 44 goals throughout the weekend. Senior Bianca Grecu led the team with 11 goals, Nursing graduate student Sheena Curtin added nine and freshman Natasa Kordic tallied seven.
In goal, senior Carolyn Corona and freshman Elizabeth Lawrence also had strong weekends, racking up 30 saves and only allowing 16 goals between them.
--Women's Ultimate Frisbee. During a weekend tournament at the University of Delaware, the team breezed its way to Sunday's championship game but lost to New York University 15-5 in the final.
On Saturday, the team dominated Georgetown, 13-5, Towson, 13-2, and Delaware by another comfortable margin.
After starting Sunday off with another easy win over Delaware, and then topping Swarthmore, 15-8, Penn met its first challenge of the day in the University of Maryland. But Penn pulled out a close 9-8 decision to reach the championship round.
Against NYU in the final, rain and wind made passing difficult and led to a lot of mistakes on the part of both teams. However, Penn couldn't shut down NYU's long throw and fell, 15-5.
--Women's Ice Hockey. Despite traveling with only two offensive lines, the team pulled out a 3-2 victory at the University of Maryland on Saturday.
Gloria Lozano opened scoring for Penn during the first period. Maryland netted the equalizer during the second period, but Joanna Levy scored shortly after during a penalty kill to regain the lead for Penn.
Carrie DeCell sent one into the back of the net in the third to put Penn up 3-1. A late goal by Maryland made it a one-point game, but an exhausted Penn team held on for the win.
--Women's Volleyball. Traveling to Penn State on Nov. 5th, the team played in a five-school tournament and came out of the weekend with a 2-2 record.
Penn split matches with Binghamton and Virginia before winning against Penn State "B" in two games.
However, the squad didn't fair as well against Connecticut, dropping its first two games. They were hard-fought contests, though, and Penn lost, 25-23 and 28-26.
