Retail Theft

Oct. 14 - Police say Mike Osborne, 29, and Joseph Nucci, 43 - both unaffiliated with Penn - stole assorted books from the University Bookstore. They were arrested in the 3900 block of Walnut Street at 6:30 p.m.

Oct. 17 - At about 5:30 p.m., a number of shirts valued at up to $1,000 were stolen from Urban Outfitters on 36th Street. Two men were reportedly seen leaving the store shortly after.

Oct. 17 - Nearly $200 worth of merchandise was stolen from Fresh Grocer at 40th and Walnut streets. Police have arrested Cheryl Pierce, 50, who is unaffiliated with Penn.

Assault

Oct. 11 - Domestic abuse was reported at 42nd and Pine streets at around midnight. Police would not give any further information about the case.

Oct. 15 - Three men were arrested in connection with an alleged incident of aggravated assault at around 2:30 a.m. near 4038 Spruce St. Twenty-year-olds Levan Jones and Anthony Torian, both unaffiliated with the University, were among those arrested.

Other Theft

Oct. 11. - Police say Dale Irwin, 60 and unaffiliated with Penn, cut a bike's cable lock near Hill College House.Oct. 13 - A bike valued at over $200 was reported taken from behind the 40th Street Bucks County Coffee House. There have been no arrests.

Oct. 15 - A laptop was reported stolen from Phi Sigma Kappa's house at 41st and Locust streets. No arrests have been made.

Robbery and Vandalism

Oct. 11 - A purse was reportedly snatched at the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center at around 2:45 a.m. The purse contained over $50 and personal items of the victim. No arrests have been made.

Oct. 15 - Vandals did between $500 and $1,000 worth of damage to the 30th Street Horizon House in the early morning hours. No arrests have been made.

Oct. 16 - Goodfellas Restaurant and Bar at 41st and Walnut streets was burglarized. 36-year-old Ronald Jones was arrested in connection with the incident for allegedly attempting to take assorted liquor.
