Robbery

- April 20 -- Two students were robbed at gunpoint by two men at about 8:45 p.m. near 41st and Market streets. One of the assailants showed a silver handgun.The two men fled northbound toward Market Street with about $35.

The gunman is described as a black man, about 5 feet 10 inches, with a medium complexion, medium build and a little facial hair. He was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with a zipper, a dark shirt and jeans. The other assailant is described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall and stocky.

Burglary

- April 21 -- A 21-year-old student reported that an IBM Thinkpad, valued at about $1500, was stolen from her house at 4015 Pine St. The burglar apparently entered the home through an unsecured rear door sometime between 5 and 9 p.m.

- April 21 -- Construction workers reported that $8,000 worth of construction equipment was stolen from the Penn Presbyterian Hospital, located at 51 N. 39th St., sometime between 3:30 p.m. April 20 and 8 a.m. April 21.

Theft

- April 23 -- Police arrested Felice Serignese, 74, of the 2100 block of Girard Avenue and charged him with theft and receiving stolen property after he was allegedly seen in an office of Penn Presbyterian Hospital removing stationary, calculators and other personal items valued at about $800 at about 7:10 a.m.

- April 22 -- Police arrested Kelly Baynard, 38, of the 700 block of N. 41st Street after she was reportedly seen leaving the Fresh Grocer, located at 4001 Walnut St., with four cans of baby formula, worth about $26.

- April 22 -- A 24-year-old man unaffiliated with the University reported that a stereo, valued at about $600, was stolen from his car parked on the 3400 block of Spruce Street sometime between 11 and 11:30 p.m. The front passenger window of the car had been broken.

Bike Theft

- April 21 -- A student reported that all parts of his bike except the frame were stolen outside Harrison College House between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The parts were valued at about $200.

- April 19 -- A student reported that his bike, worth about $130, was stolen sometime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m from outside 3620 Hamilton Walk. The bike's lock had been cut.
