Academic All-American honors for two Quakers
Two Penn soccer players, Katy Cross and Daniel Cepero, received Academic All-American honors this past week from the College Sports Information Directors of America.
This is the third consecutive season that Cross, Penn's all-time leader in points, goals and assists, has been named a first-team Academic All-American.
Cepero was named to the second team of the Academic All-American squad. This is the first-year starting goalie's first selection to the squad.

Princeton's Logan to miss time for surgery
PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) -- Princeton senior forward Andre Logan will undergo arthroscopic surgery Friday to repair his oft-injured left knee.
Tigers coach Joe Scott said at Thursday's Media Day that Logan hurt himself during the first day of practice on Oct. 16, and could be out anywhere from three to six weeks. It is the same knee that caused Logan to miss all but three games in 2002-03 and nearly the entire Ivy League season in 2001-02.
"He's got something floating around in there," Scott said. "You just have to go in there and make it a little stronger. Who knows what they'll find when they get in there. We'll know Saturday or Monday."
Logan missed the beginning of last season due to a hand injury, and finished the year averaging 8.2 points and 4.8 rebounds. The absence of the 6-foot-6 forward for any length of time could hurt Princeton, which is thin on experience in the frontcourt with Will Venable moving to guard.
"The worst-case scenario is six weeks, which means he's back before Christmas," Scott said. "To me, that's not a bad scenario. If he works hard after the surgery, maybe he's back in three or four weeks, and it's not as much of a setback as you would think."
Scott said Logan's spot in the starting lineup could go to freshman Noah Savage.
Princeton opens its season Thursday against Bucknell in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in Syracuse.
