Three Penn athletes qualified for the NCAA Championships. In addition to Sam Burley and Brian Chaput, senior Julie Siebert-Johnson finished seventh at the East Regionals and qualified for a wild card spot at the NCAA Championships with a javelin throw of 46.34 meters.
The Holmdel, N.J. native had a strong finish to her senior season, winning the Penn Relays javelin championship and the Outdoor Heptagonal javelin championship.
Two other Penn athletes from the women's track team competed at East Regionals.
Sophomore Samantha Crook vaulted 3.67 meters and finished ninth and, in the javelin competition, junior Kai Ivory threw 40.81 meters and placed 17th.
