Squash's Repetto, Reta garner All-America nods

Penn sophomore Richard Repetto was named to the All-America and All-Ivy teams after finishing this season ranked No. 8 in national collegiate squash. The sophomore was the only Penn representative on the All-Ivy team. He finished his season in the national quarterfinals, losing to Princeton's Yasser El-Halaby.

Repetto is the first Penn squash player to be named to the All-Ivy and All-America teams in consecutive years since Rudy Rodriguez in 1989 and 1990.

Women's squash merited three All-America berths including senior Runa Reta's first-team selection. Sophomore Linda McNair was on the second team while junior Dafna Wegner was named honorable mention.

Reta, who was runner-up for the national title, was earlier named Ivy League Player of the Year.

M. Lax's Riordan honored as Ivy Rookie of the Week

After a three-goal and one assist outburst at Harvard's Jordan Field Saturday afternoon, Penn men's lacrosse player James Riordan was honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.

Down 4-1 in the first half, Riordan assisted on what would be the first of seven consecutive Penn goals.

Five minutes later, the freshman took a feed from Jake Martin during a man-up opportunity and scored, sending the Quakers into halftime down only one goal, 4-3. Riordan scored after halftime to tie the game at four. Penn went on to win 8-6.

Riordan currently leads Penn in man-up goals with five. The freshman attacker is currently third on the team in goals and has scored in every game but one this season.
