The Penn women's soccer team put in its best team performance of the season on Wednesday evening, but it was a record-breaker who made the real headlines.
Freshman Katy Cross scored two goals to lead the Quakers to a 4-0 victory over Lafayette in Easton, Pa. Cross's two goals moves her into first place on the single-season points list, smashing the previous record of 26 set by Jill Callaghan in 1999. Cross now has 28 points on the season with 2 games to go.
The Quakers improved to 12-1-2 on the season, with two Ivy League games against Princeton and at Harvard left. The Quakers will win the Ivy League if they win those two games.
