Campus Crime Report

Assault * October 30 -- A man whose affiliation to the University was unknown reported that an unfamiliar man threw cold coffee in his face on the 3400 block of Spruce Street at about 5:45 p.m.

* October 30 -- A female University student reported that four teenage boys approached her from behind and slapped her on the head at the corner of 40th and Sansom streets at about 7 p.m. The boys then fled east on Sansom Street. The student did not sustain any injuries. No description of the men was available as of last night.

Robbery * October 30 -- A female University employee reported that she was walking on the 4200 block of Locust Street at about 6:45 p.m. A man walking in front of her turned around and grabbed her backpack. The employee described the suspect as a black man in his late teens or early 20s with a thin build.

Burglary * October 30 -- An employee of the WXPN radio station at 3905 Spruce Street reported that a side window was pried open between 4:30 p.m. on October 27 and 8:15 a.m. on October 30. Taken was a stereo, two laptop computers and other electronic equipment, together valued at $7,000.

Theft * October 31 -- A male University employee reported that his secured laptop computer was taken from his unlocked office in David Rittenhouse Laboratory at 209 S. 33rd Street between 10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m.

* October 30 -- A man whose affiliation to the University was unknown reported that his laptop computer was taken from his unsecured office in an office building at 3550 Market Street between 8:30 a.m. and noon. The computer was valued at $3,500.

* October 27 -- A man whose affiliation to the University was unknown reported that his laptop computer was taken from his locked office in an office building at 3600 Market Street between October 24 and October 27. The computer was valued at $2,000. There were no signs of forced entry to the office.
