Karenna Gore Schiff, the eldest daughter of Vice President Al Gore, will be addressing students at 7:15 p.m. tomorrow in Houston Hall. Schiff, who has been coordinating her father's efforts to attract young adults to his camp, will speak on youth voter awareness. The event is sponsored by Penn for Gore and is part of the Undergraduate Assembly's voter registration week. "We are very excited that Karenna has decided to visit the campus," Penn for Gore head and UA Chairman Michael Bassik said. "We know this will energize students about the upcoming election, regardless of political affiliation," the College senior said. The 250 tickets will be distributed today starting at 10 a.m. at the Penn for Gore table on Locust Walk. They are being handed out on a first-come-first-serve basis. There have been no announced plans to bring either of the presidential candidates themselves to campus. President Clinton held rallies at Penn in both 1992 and 1996. Last week, Rebecca Lieberman -- daughter of Democratic vice-presidential nominee Sen. Joseph Lieberman and a Penn Law graduate -- spoke on campus about women and politics. As part of the week's activities, the UA and other groups have been registering students to vote in the upcoming presidential election. Wharton junior James Ku, co-chair of the UA Election Taskforce, estimated that "close to 300" students have already been registered this week. -- Joshua Runyan
