Caramanico awarded Ivy Player of the Week This week, she has once again been named as the Ivy League's Player of the Week. She tied the Penn single-game record by scoring 41 points against Lafayette at the Air Force Classic in Colorado. That figure marked a new record for both Clune Arena and the Air Force Classic. To remove any doubt as to whether she'd be named the tournament's MVP and Ivy Player of the week, Caramanico led the Quakers to the Air Force Classic title the next night against Loyola (Ill.) -- she scored 36 points against the Ramblers and now stands fourth on Penn's all-time career points list. Caramanico also totaled 25 rebounds for the tournament. The Blue Bell, Pa., native has scored 30 or more points on 10 occasions in 57 career games. Caramanico is currently averaging 28.8 points per game on the season. Caramanico's performance almost completely overshadowed a great week by teammate and fellow tri-captain Mandy West, who was named to the Ivy League's weekly honor roll after scoring 60 points over three games, including her 1,000th career point against the Leopards. -- Jesse Spector
