F. Hockey's Bills picked Ivy Player of the Week Bills' injury is just the latest in a long string of injuries for the Quakers, as numerous players have missed time with injuries. Senior defender Brooke Jenkins is also out for the rest of the year with a torn ACL. Bills leads Penn (4-11, 1-5 Ivy League) with nine goals and 19 points this season. -- Rick Haggerty Hoops fans may buy tickets from Princeton While only a limited number of tickets to the Penn men's basketball team's game at Princeton were available through the Penn ticket office, students may now purchase tickets directly from the Princeton ticket office. This past weekend, all participants in the Penn ticket line were entered in a lottery to get a chance to buy tickets to the away games at La Salle on December 7, at Temple on January 20 and at Princeton on February 15. Only a limited number of tickets -- between 150 and 200 -- were available through Penn for each game, so the students who did not win the lottery must go through the ticket offices of the opposing schools. Tickets to the game at Princeton are always the most difficult regular season tickets for Penn fans to obtain. Last year, these tickets were being scalped at prices of up to $150. Penn fans may now order tickets for $10 by calling the Princeton ticket office at (609) 258-3538. -- R.H. Penn alumni Maloney and Bowman waived Former Penn basketball players Matt Maloney and Ira Bowman were waived by their respective NBA teams on Monday. Maloney, a 1995 grad and the '94-95 Ivy League Player of the Year, was released by the Houston Rockets. Bowman, who graduated in '96 and was named Player of the Year in '95-96, was one of the final cuts made by the Dallas Mavericks. Another Ivy Leaguer was also waived on Monday, the Philadelphia 76ers cut former Princeton center and 1997-98 Player of the Year Steve Goodrich. -- R.H.
