Krug leaves Tigers for 1999-00 season Carmody said that Krug left for "personal medical reasons." Last season, Krug started for the Tigers but was often lifted by Carmody in favor of forward Mason Rocca. Despite coming in as a highly touted recruit, Krug averaged just 2.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game while playing an average of 16 minutes in 28 games. His time, however, diminshed as the season progressed. Krug, whose brother Tim played for Penn from 1992 to 1996, was also heavily recruited by the Quakers. In choosing Princeton, Krug joined center Chris Young, who was also recruited by Penn, in what was expected to be a powerful young frontcourt tandem. Young shined last season, earning second team All-Ivy honors and being unanimously chosen as the Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Krug, on the other hand, struggled and spent much time on the bench. -- Rick Haggerty
