Alumni pushing tickets for M. Hoops games Tickets are on sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the E. Craig Sweeten Alumni Center at 3533 Locust Walk for $6 apiece. For fans unable to acquire tickets to Tuesday's game at Princeton, it will be the final opportunity to see this year's edition of the Red and Blue in regular season action. -- Jesse Spector Weekend hoops games to be filled with honors While the Penn men's basketball team will be trying to clinch at least a share of the Ivy League title against Columbia and Cornell this weekend, special ceremonies will be the order of the weekend at the Palestra. After tonight's regular halftime festivities and shooting contests, honors will be given to some of Penn's championship athletes. First to receive recognition at the Palestra will be the Penn sprint football team, which shared the Collegiate Sprint Football League title, led by Most Valuable Player Tim Ortman. Tonight's other honored team will be Penn's gymnastics squad, which in 1998 won the Ivy Classic team title and became the first Ivy team to win ECACs. Following the team honors, Penn's Jim Finn will receive the Asa Bushnell trophy, which is awarded to the Ivy League football player of the year. The two-time unanimous first-team All-Ivy running back rushed 323 times for 1,450 yards, setting two school records. Tomorrow night at the Palestra is also Senior Night. Before the Cornell game, the Quakers' four seniors -- Paul Romanczuk, Jed Ryan, Mike Sullivan and Brendan Cody -- will receive framed photos of themselves. At halftime, a similar ceremony will honor the members of Penn's 1979 men's basketball team, which made the NCAA Final Four. -- J.S. Club ice hockey team faces Princeton tonight Quakers fans do not have to wait until Tuesday to unleash their anti-Princeton sentiments. The Tigers will visit Penn for a semifinal matchup in the DVCHC hockey playoffs tonight at the Class of 1923 Ice Rink at 5:15 p.m. The Quakers are looking for revenge tonight, as Princeton eliminated Penn from last year's playoffs with a 4-2 victory. -- J.S.
