Many details about the accident are still unknown, but according to Panhellenic Council President Janelle Brodsky, none of the passengers in the car with Roberts were injured when it flipped over. Brodsky, a College and Engineering senior and a Pi Beta Phi sister, also emphasized that alcohol was not involved in the incident. "Emily just happened to be the only one not wearing a seatbelt," Brodsky said. And Office of Fraternity and Sorority affairs Director Scott Reikofski said he was "still trying to piece things together," noting the only thing he knew was that Roberts was a sister in Kappa Alpha Theta. Roberts, a native of Newhall, Calif., was well liked by everyone that knew her, according to College senior and Panhel Secretary Michelle Fliman. "As I told one of her sorority sisters last week, Emily sticks out in my mind as one of the sweetest and friendliest girls of her year," said Fliman, an Alpha Chi Omega sister. "She was truly a genuine, beautiful individual." Funeral services were held Friday morning in California. -- Ginny Dorsey
